Courage is hands down my favorite horse in the barn! She is sweet, kind and reliable, she is the first horse I go to for lessons and absolutely loves kiddos! She has had kids as young as 6 on her! She is a total babysitter, if you want her to go slow she will but she can also pick it up when asked. She is the definition of “Grandma safe”
On top of being an extremely reliable kid and family horse, courage is extremely brave and unshaken on the trail, she has extensive trail miles and it takes a lot to get this horse to spook! She has been around town with large crowds, dogs, bikes, traffic etc as well as up in the mountains in rough terrain and trails where she had to jump boulders and pick her way down steep mountains.
She is always up for the task!
Courage loves the trails but has also been recently started English and jumping and absolutely loves it! She also is quite skilled with a nice tuck and lots of scope. She could go far in that direction with some consistency!
We have jumped her up to 2’6 with lots of room to improve.
When we got courage we were also told she drives but have no cart so haven’t tested it!
This mare is built like a brick house (hence the draft) and is absolutely stunning all around.
There’s not a better mount out there for the whole family.
