!Please read ENTIRE description! ;) There is a lot to say about Belle! We have owned Belle since she was 2 years old, so quite some time! She is a unique color, registered as a silver dapple…if you part through her hair you can see the silver in her mane and forelock. She’s very pretty in the summertime when she is all slick…looks like a grulla and white color. Has a thick tail that touches the ground and has to be trimmed. She is a stockier built, miniature horse and bigger measuring about 38” tall. Weighs approx 327lbs and is UTD on shots, coggins, deworming and has her hooves trimmed every 6-8 weeks. Belle is halter broke, stands tied, loads in the trailer with minimal hesitation, grooms, clips, doesn’t love a bath but will tolerate it and stands for the farrier and vet. Easy to deworm and give shots to. Enjoys being groomed, clipped (even her face and bridle path) and petted and is very personable with an expressive look. Very little spook to her in a barn and paddock setting and safe for kids in this environment as well. She is very tolerable to small kids, barn cats, 4 wheelers, mowers and dogs. Does not bite or kick. Has had a bareback pad on and has been cinched up and walked around…no saddling though. She has had a lot of exposure to many things and handled daily but I would still call her a “project” with some maintenance required and here are the reasons why: She is very easy to handle in a stall/barn/paddock area. But outside of this area like round pen, arena, yard, etc she can be somewhat pushy and harder to handle. A chain under her chin and some extra work would probably correct this. Belle does have off and on laminitis…she does best in a dry paddock/lot, gets very minimal grain formulated for miniature horses and ponies and lower carb grass mix hay. She had hoof x rays done in March 2024 and would be glad to share. She could probably have some weight pulled off and that may help correct this problem. I think she could also possibly benefit from a metabolic type supplement. She is currently sound and doing well!! Reason for sale is my daughter has another miniature horse and is also wanting a larger pony or small horse and we no longer need two miniature horses. My daughter also has trouble handling Belle outside of the barn and paddock. Belle has a lot to offer and is very personable, but is best suited for an experienced child or pre teen. Would also do well with smaller children to learn horse basics as long an adult is present and in a controlled area like stall, barn, small paddock. https://youtu.be/oGq1nvbdYvE Price negotiable to the right home or program.
