Salvo is a 15+ hand, 5-1/2 year old Andalusian/Arabian cross. Sired by the Spanish Andalusian stallion, Saltador ORO, out of the Arabian mare, USR Black Velvet, Salvo is a strong, well-balanced mover with a good mind. He has been in training for the last 90 days at Dan Keen Horsemanship in Spicewood, Texas, and he has proven to be a quick study. Salvo has been exposed to numerous situations and stimuli and he has taken it all in stride. His trainers have thrown a rope from him, taken him over obstacles, ridden him through water and trailered him on field trips to further his desensitization. He picks up the proper lead for cantering, side passes, backs, etc. He has a BIG motor but he has never offered to buck or bolt. Salvo has had only one owner and one veterinarian since birth. He has exceptional feet and has always been barefoot. His regular farrier stated that Salvo’s hooves are in the top 5 best of the thousands of horses he has trimmed. Salvo is current on all vaccinations, floating and has a negative Coggins. Coupled with a kind, keen mind, Salvo has a big, fluid walk, a balanced trot and canter and the physical capacity to perform multiple disciplines. Salvo has a substantial build, but he is refined, and he breaks over beautifully at the poll.
