If you want an ideal partner, one who is tall (17HH), dark (almost black bay) and handsome (beautiful face with a blaze ending in a caramel muzzle) …here is your guy. He is sensitive and responsive to the point of being a hands-free device. Sabre is an exceptional ambassador of all a Thoroughbred can be. First-He is calm and patient. I almost named him Screensaver because he goes into that mode while standing around or waiting his turn. Second-he wants to learn and tries hard to consolidate progressive tasks. It is a joy to watch him process a lesson. Third-he is easy to adore because of his kind disposition and sweet curiosity. Fourth- he is good with the farrier, loads willingly, stands in crossties, and thinks the vet is the devil. Fifth-he shows great promise to continue to advance his skill, strength, and talent. Last-he has completely won hearts with his honesty, his work ethic, and his gentleness. He has been lovingly and kindly trained, with time to grow up, gain strength, and build a solid foundation from which to advance. I will work hard to find the perfect person for him. I am selling him for health reasons, and at age 71 cannot continue riding enough to help him reach his potential. I believe he deserves a home where he can have a job and the steady work he enjoys, and most importantly, be greatly loved and appreciated.
