2013 Registered & Branded Black Oldenburg Mare with a USEF Record and USEA number! Sired by Riverman and rated Premium Foal at her branding inspection. I am currently getting her Main Mare Book registration/inspection from Oldenburg N.A. and it should be sent out within the next few weeks. Greta or ‘dark hippo’ as we call her is ready to be your next show partner! She has records of showing up to 1.10M from 2018 - 2020 doing Horse Trails all up the East Coast and then previous owner got a ‘new shiny project’ and she was put in a pasture until she came to me. I was told she was ‘cold backed’ but it turns out she just needed chiropractic and acupuncture adjustments. I don’t believe any horse is nasty, I believe athletes need proper care and that is what I gave her. She has since then not offered any ill move and she is willing and ready to work. Greta is one of the first performance mares I have owned (I’m a gelding person) but she has won me over for her grit and desire to give her all every time she is ridden and shown. In the program she was in, she is a zero show prep, tack up and jump type of girl. She has been schooling and showing consistently in the .85M and .95M and schooling 1.05M singles. At the higher levels she can be a bit more “go” but she is not dangerous or hot. She knows her job so well that my husband was the one that wanted her to learn to jump. Against my wishes knowing what a green rider and a Ferrari on four legs could do.. I thought to have EMS on speed dial but to my shock Greta does everything for him including finding the distance to make him look good. She doesn’t do this with everyone under saddle, she is a mare after all. Greta has a love for Cross Country and I feel this is where she excels - she locks in to a jump and soars over it looking for the next. She is not a Hunter type by any means but she will gallop the pace down embankments, over logs, and clear the tables like it’s her calling. She competed in Field Trials up north and excelled in the jumping/speed but Dressage was not her calling scoring low 40s. I’m not looking for the first person who has money in hand. I am looking for a suitable partner to ensure her safety and someone with the same will and drive to win that she does! Greta has perfect manners on the ground and around the stable - she stands in crossties for hours, she stands for farrier to hot shoe ( she’s in front shoes ), and she loads and unloads from a trailer with not even a sketchy step. Anyone can lead and handle her. For riding - timid riders are a no go she can sense the timidness and will test the riders abilities because she’s a boss mare. Fearless riders who can deal with being told ‘that’s not how I like’ by her are going to pair perfectly. Though my husband has ridden her and he is a green rider with performance horses - she took care of him. No Trades but possibility to yearly show lease if your references are stellar! https://youtu.be/2ci
