Neptune > Tuner > Looney Tunes > Clown > Pencil. All Loving Names he's earned during my time with him. He is a sticked 17.2H Black Thoroughbred, literally everyone's dream plus he has the personality to match. He is so nosey, so in your pocket and an absolute big dog. The best brag - no vices unless you count whinnying every time you walk into the barn because he always has to be the center of attention. He is for sale through absolutely no fault of his own. His back story - Neptune was at the facility I moved to when I brought my 33yo paint gelding, my heart horse, closer to Tampa because of his medical needs. He was on strict stall rest in 2020 for a tear in his XYZ ligament during training as a racehorse. I took a liking to him anyway and when I bought him I fully expected to care for him just like that 33yo paint whom had passed the month before. Leg injuries, thanks to that old horse, taught me patience and the importance of proper rehabilitation. My rehab consisted of 18 months of R & R - 3 months strict stall rest, 6 months limited turn out, and 9 months group turnout to ensure both small and large muscle fibers had enough time to rehabilitate. He received stem cell treatments during that time and once he was coming back into 'work' it was flatwork only to start for a few months. Never once took a lame step even after being injured and because I never let my eagerness to ride him overcome the importance of rehab.. I am proud to say his last ultrasound showed NO injury and full healing. He was cleared to return to racing or whatever second career with NO LIMITATIONS. Back to him - I began working flatwork for a bit before moving to jumping, he has not jumped over 2'6" and given his height he almost steps over them. He is an eager horse and wants to be all in your pocket 24/7. I have zero interest in showing him in fact I am too scared to walk into the ring so I added him to the lesson program for the advanced riders and I paid for their shows out of pocket thus giving a rider an opportunity they might not have AND giving him the experiences he needed to be a well rounded horse. Now that I have decided the Tampa area is not the place for my sanity - I moved back to Lakeland where the 33yo paint and I originally were for over 6 years. This facility does not have jumps or the set up to keep him going in training/showing and it also doesn't have the riders willing to show at the shows I want to see him thrive in. We have taken him Cross Country schooling and shockingly the wide open space and jumps he took everything in stride. He has been to Sumter which he hates Sumter, he gets anxiety on that ground and he comes first so we never went back after the 2nd time. He showed at PCHA in the .65M and .75M during the summer and despite the much complained about boggy prix arena he did much better. https://youtu.be/gTNiM0XLSWE
