JD was16 weeks old when he found himself, with his newly pregnant Momma, in a notorious killpen down Bastrop, Louisiana. It was through his own good fortune an old Cowboy had some time on his hands due to a pandemic. In their finals hours JD and his Momma were saved and headed to Maine. Over the last 4 years JD has been at our farm learning ground work daily, he’s accepted the saddle but has yet to be backed. At our farm we believe what the experts say…the spine is the last group of bones to finish maturing at 5 years of age. Therefore the weight bearing part of his training is saved for closer to this time. JD is an exemplary student. Willing, kind, affectionate, curious and athletic. He’s a big bodied beautiful Quarter Horse. He will make a great forever horse to someone willing to put the time into finishing him. He has had countless hours of professional handling thus far. He knows no different. His price is very negotiable. His future is more to us than his worth.
