Cruisin on a Coat aka Prince- 2016 Appendix gelding sired by Coats n Tails. 17 HH. Looking for a winter project? Prince is truly a ham and a stunning horse that will get you noticed. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to be consistent with him which is when he’s most successful, nor do I have the finances to put him in more training. Before I purchased Prince, he did about 30 days of professional training as a late 3/early 4 year old and then sat for a couple years. My intentions when I first purchased him was to show him. After a year off of showing, I decided that I financially can’t pull it off and didn’t have the ambition to really get back in the show pen. I just wanted to be around horses, ride and have fun. I rode Prince for a few months consistently and he was doing very well. We ran into some saddle fitting issues that really set us back and after that experience, I decided he is too much for me. I spent a lot of time ground working him and counter conditioning his aversive response to the saddle. He has been rode a handful of times after lots of ground work, but I just couldn’t keep it consistent with my work and personal life schedule. Due to this, he’s being sold as a project. This horse is a lot of thoroughbred- has lots of drive, wants to work and be fancy. I’m a lower confident rider after a bad fall several years ago and need a horse with “more woah than go” and at this point would like to pleasure and trail ride more than being fancy and moving big. Prince does need someone experienced to handle and ride him. He clips, loads, bathes, and stands for the vet just fine. I do use Dormosedan gel for his shoeing appointments with the farrier so he stands completely still for her to put the shoes on with no problems. I truly want the best for this horse and want to see him succeed, I’m just not the person to get him there. Asking 3,000 but willing to negotiate for the right person. Please PM with any further questions. Located in central WI.
