Up for consideration, Doc Extremely sweet 13 y/o 14hh grade gelding. Doc is your typical sweet gelding, he will come up to you when out in the pasture and wants to please. I’ve owned him for almost three years now and have done a little bit of everything with him. The only reason I’m selling him is because I’m looking for a step-up horse for my senior year. ✨Cow sorting ✨In-Hand (placed 2nd in our WAHSET district for trail) ✨showmanship ✨ranch-type classes ✨rail classes ✨trail riding ✨English ✨Gaming Doc is very smart and once he finds his person, he is very loyal. As far as my knowledge goes about his past is that he grew up on a ranch, he LOVES his cows and I think he would make someone a great sorting horse with more training. He is not finished in anything but learns quickly when worked consistently. He needs someone to love on him as he really is just a big puppy dog. I really love this horse so a good home is a must! He would also make a wonderful trail horse as once he gets comfortable, he will do whatever you ask of him. He’s still young and in his prime so he can go many different directions! More Whoa than Go and can be a little lazy and testy but once you get after him, he does great. No soundness issues, I do have shoes on his front as his hooves get pretty brittle, but he can go barefoot. He also knows how to smile AND kiss on command, very food motivated 😉 he would best be suited with an intermediate beginner with a trainer or higher. While he is a giant teddy bear, he has his vices as every horse does. - When getting his hooves done, he gets dorm-gel as I believe he has past trauma and will pull back whenever the farrier comes. If interested, I will give more info. - He is NOT a drill horse. I did drill with him for a season and a half but we had a pretty good incident and since then, he no longer enjoys drill and gets anxious (I do believe this is something he can work through with a confident rider as he used to do wonderful) - He doesn’t particularly enjoy gaming. I’ve been gaming him since I’ve owned him and he is familiar with the patterns but he really doesn’t enjoy it and will get frustrated when you ask too much of him. Again, a good home is a must but I’m also motivated to sell.
