Jet black with a short dishy head, tiny ears, and a long hooky neck. Sierra Black is a sweet, smart and confident mare with tons of personality. She is very people oriented and strives to please.
Going on her 18th month of professional training five days a week, she is fit and ready to fine-tune for Ranch, Trail, Western Dressage or sport horse disciplines. From the beginning, she exhibited a great deal of natural self carriage and headset. She is uncomplicated, agreeable, and has the work ethic and athleticism of her famous father. She has been ridden a few times by experienced kids and also has a little trail experience. At this stage in her training I would consider her a match with an advanced intermediate, or an advanced beginner that has a full-time trainer, as she might take advantage of an inexperienced person over time.
Though she herself is 14.2, she has an up-close pedigree of large horses and is sure to throw good size. She was bred to PA Antor late last season, and though she did not take because of difficulty getting collection during a hurricane, the repro vet was very impressed with the quality of her follicles.
With her extreme type, rich black color, stellar pedigree, perfect age and year+ training she is offered at $18,500, which is considerably less than what I have invested in her education and purchase price. I would consider a reasonable offer, or a breeding lease.
She is a very special girl that is hard for me to let go of, but my circumstances have changed.
She is DNA tested heterozygous black and is negative for everything.
