Introducing “Ricky”. Offered for sale due to no fault of his own. This handsome man is an 11-year-old unregistered chestnut QH gelding. 15.2 ½ hh. Levelheaded, chill guy ready for his next person.

Ricky could go in any direction- English or Western. When purchased I was told he was a rope horse and had been to rodeos, although I have never tried roping with him in the two years I have owned him. He is highloping a nice barrel pattern and wraps around the barrels beautifully. Ricky needs someone to bring him to the next level and add the speed to finish his barrel training. Amazing out on the trails, rarely any spook, jogs/lopes through water, and hacks alone or in a group.

He’s broke, more woah than go, stops dead when told to woah, neck reins, turns on the haunches, side passes, and has been used in lessons.

He has had two months off recently- just hop on and go. Regardless of the weather. He is the same laid-back guy no matter the amount of time he’s had off. Due to him having a significant amount of time off, he will need to be eased back into work to build back the muscle he’s lost but it will not take long!

Ricky is an easy keeper. Trailers, bathes, ties anywhere, good for the blacksmith, etc. can live inside or out and is closer to the bottom of the herd. He has had shoes on but not needed. He’s up to date on all vaccinations.

Hoping his next person enjoys him as much as I do. The only reason for selling is that I want something a little more finished at this point in my journey.
