Elly is a gorgeous, 2015 cob, registered Connemara. She stands a hair under 14 hands, but she is big boned and takes up your leg. She is a dusky-dark buckskin with kind eyes. This mare would be perfect for the person who wants a classic Connemara for dressage or trails. She has had 3 lovely foals and has been a great mother, so she is a proven broodmare with her most recent foal in 2024. She has lots of mountain trail miles, crossing water and rough terrain without issues. She has successfully competed in mounted games several times with a new-to-games rider. She has done several hunter paces and has hunted 2nd flight. She has been very lightly started over some jumps, but excels on the flat. Elly does lead changes, leg yeilds, shoulder or haunches in, side passes, half passes (trot/canter), 10m circles, and turns on the forehand or haunches. Elly is large enough to carry adults as well as children. She rides in a snaffle and is barefoot (with hoof boots for trails). After having most of the year off for having her latest foal, she started right back in the ring without forgetting anything. She is not mare-ish with her heat cycles and has proven to be tolerant and well behaved while riding in large groups of horses. She is the dominant mare in the field. She is easy to work around on the ground and loads without problems. This is a nice all-around horse that could also be used as a broodmare (hoof wall separation disease N/N).
