Monte
Snuffleupagus aka Monte is 9 year old 16.1 hh Percheron X QH gelding. Athletic and agile for his size and with a teddybear demeanor. Monte was lightly started over fences over a year ago and took to it with ease. Since then his focus has been redirected to flatwork due to being leased by a dressage rider. He has experience at schooling shows under his belt, mostly dressage through the intro levels and some jump shows as well. He’s currently schooling first level movements, leg yields, legthenings, shoulder in, and is an expert trail horse.
Monte is a fabulous partner but very much a one person horse and would do best with a patient and empathetic hand. He can be nervous and tends to internalize but comes out of his shell and shines when he trusts his human. He would do well with an experienced teen or AA who is willing to take the time to build partnership and trust.
Though he’s built on draftier lines he is quite talented with 3 lovely gates and is light on the aids. Sound barefoot and ready to continue to advance with his new person.
