With a name like Jet, you would think he would come with some speed… but this gelding is definitely more whoa than go and will not get an inexperienced rider or “friend that has never ridden before” in trouble. If you want to try and get him into a lope in the arena, you can go ahead and cancel your gym membership because you might just break a sweat. He has been ridden by everyone: from beginner kids, to advanced adults, both in the arena and out on the trail. He has experience riding through rough country on the ranch, as well as manicured trails in the metropark. Jet is happy to pack around on the trail, or ride in the arena, but won’t be getting anywhere too quick. He is the type of horse that you just enjoy being around. His big, kind soft eye, and golden retriever personality is what I like most about this guy. Jet does well with time off and will ride the same with a month off in the pasture as he did on his last ride. He does all of the trail obstacles: teeter totter bridge, cowboy curtain, whips, tarps, gunfire and flags are old news to him. He has good foot and bone, giving him the opportunity to have a long successful career. He has been exposed to all farm machinery and equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. He is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
