Mouse is looking for her forever home! She’s an awesome trail pony and would be great for a family with kids. She’s not spooky and rides great in traffic, goes out alone no problem, rides through puddles and crosses train tracks. She’s got a solid w/t/l, responds to leg, and will neck rein for a rider that can cue effectively. She gets the concept of lateral movement but isn’t finished in it. She’s definitely more whoa than go; if you want a barrel horse, she is not your girl! She’s done the games for fun but definitely more lazy trails type. I have ponied her and ponied other horses off her. Mouse stands for the farrier and vet- trimmed in October (can be done again before she goes), shots and coggins good until Jan 2025. She’s middle of the pecking order and not marish at all- it is very hard to tell when she’s in heat. Loads right up in my stock trailer, but she hasn’t been in a straight or slant load before. SUPER easy keeper! She stays fat on just hay. CONS: Mouse can be a brat to catch. We’ve been working on it and she’s gotten a lot better, but I want to put it out there! Also, she has night blindness. This doesn’t cause problems for her UNLESS you turn her out in a new place at night. If she learns the boundaries during the day, she will stay in any fence. Last year she got tangled in the electric (because I shut a gate after dark- see above) and ran into a post, leaving her with a slight head tilt. She’s had chiro since then, it seems to just be cosmetic!
