Tex- Located In Otter Lake. MI 48464 Mid teens, grade paint gelding 👀🏡 ***please don’t ask me if he will work for your beginner*** I haven’t had a beginner ride Tex, I know how he rides, and he has; as I describe in the post-(please read) his quirks can intimidate a lot of people so I wouldn’t suggest it. If you want to come see him & make that call, text me. I cannot make that judgment because I don’t know how your person rides. UTD on worming 10-26-2024 Had his teeth done this spring before I got him Tex has THE biggest dog personality you’ll meet, if you wanna talk about a thick boned & big bodied guy this is him. He’s a lover boy through and through, along with his drop dead looks. When I got him, he had a bad biting habit getting on & off him. We’ve worked on it and he’s perfectly fine now, besides his moments when he’s PO’d. He just tries to grab your foot, and he quits if you let him know that you won’t let it fly. He can be bully if you let him, obviously I haven’t. Besides that he is a perfect gentleman. He walks trots and lopes both ways, he can be tricky with his leads but he can and will get them. He gives at the poll, has a nice woah and back. Doesn’t spook at anything I’ve thrown at him, fine with vehicles on the road and more. He’s more of a laid back type unless you work him up, but even then he settles down. He’s not a hothead, but don’t think he’s stupid, he’s smart and knows how to play the game if you let him. He would be great for consistent wet saddle pads and a job. Picks up all 4 feet, stands for them to be trimmed, loads and bathes just fine. He’s an easy to love guy and is in your pocket constantly. He can be buddy sour if you let him, thinks he can get easily attatched to other horses but like I said, if he’s in consistent work his mindset changes & he’s even better. If you’re gonna ride him on rocky ground i recommend shoes on him, he’s barefoot now and I’ve knock on wood never had a problem besides him getting sore after riding on my rocky dirt road. I have no problem moving 👀🏡 my other gelding to keep him around a bit longer and make him nice. So he does not HAVE to go but if someone is looking for a nice ranch horse or a project for showing next summer, I’ll make a deal to a nice home. https://youtu.be/_edecpT7rbc?si=Fca63XNUvOD_Z_0R
