Grade Appaloosa mare. No papers. Birthday 5 March 2010. 14.2 hh. Hasn't been ridden too much by us lately, mostly because of two pregnancies and cross-country moves, but I could saddle and ride her right now no problem. Mostly was used in the arena by us, and her previous owner used her for running barrels and play day type stuff. She was born and raised here in the Las Vegas valley. -Cute, flashy coloring. -Sweet disposition (def bottom of the totem pole in a herd). -Neck reins very well, along with direct/indirect rein, sensitive to commands, eager to please. -No problem with cows or ropes. -Super smooth sittable jog and rocking chair lope. Never have galloped her personally. -experienced (has competed) with running barrels -Very easy keeper -Will stand tied until the end of time. -Picks up feet, can be handled and groomed any way you need. -Loads like an absolute champion. literally you open the trailer door, and she climbs in on her own lol. -She is not skittish in an arena with crowds or audiences, no problems with noise or commotion. -More go than whoa, but she has a good stop. -Needs to trust her rider - she is not a very confident horse even though she is fine in an arena setting. -She is very confident in the arena, but definitely more nervous on the trail...needs some wet saddle blankets. -Has a tooth that has absessed in the past, the vet in Louisiana left part of tooth in when pulling it. -Vet here said it may have to come out some day but it hasn't bothered anything in a couple years and she eats fine. We are selling because we have two foals, and because our other mature horse is an extremely confident trail horse, while Whiskey is happiest in the arena running barrels and stuff so she's just not a good fit for us. She is a totally rideable, usablehorse just sitting around doing nothing. No tire kickers. $1,500 firm. Can trailer her to you a reasonable distance.
