Kind and willing, Legend has the classic "old-soul" nature we love so much in the Friesian breed. We have had her here since she was a weanling at 6 months. Legend has given us one stunning filly, a Warlander, and she was a perfect mother, easy to settle and work with through the whole process. The Sunrise Ranch is a performance barn focusing on Working Equitation and versatile family friendly sport horses. Legend has a strong foundation in classical groundwork, liberty, line driving, and has been furthered towards dressage and quiet trail riding. Not being pushed for her age, she is ridden a couple times a week to further her schooling and experience and is very suitable for light lesson work. Those that have ridden her note her smooth comfortable trot and easy light collected canter. She is very responsive to the seat and leg aids and is soft in the bridle.
Legend loves to come out, is easy in the herd, ties well, and has very good ground manners. She approaches a mounting block to be mounted and stands just a tad shy of 16.2 hands tall.
Legend's dam was started att he SRR as well and was clearly kind and willing under saddle and we have heard that her sire and grandsire were known for their amiable natures. This is not a heavy Friesian in type, but sporty in conformation making her easy to ride with lightness and simple to pick up a canter.
