Are you looking for a pint sized (14.1 and a half inch at age 4) foundation-bred Morgan mare for trail or endurance? This personable girl has impressed us with her "I-want-to-do-stuff" nature all growing up. Yes we have had her since a weanling and she was handled EXTENSIVELY since before we even got her. Maggie, clearly wants to be with people, so I resolved this summer to let her be a saddle horse. She took to the work like a fish to water and LOVES going out on trail, loading up to go somewhere new, always meets me at the gate, and is very confident with new things (not a spooky horse)! This mare has a lovely slow four-beat gait that is a dream to ride, but also picks a trot tight up to move out with the trotters. She also has a forward correct walk and a controlled balanced canter that she moves into easily and maintains with maneuverability. Maggie moves off your leg, neck reins, takes a bit with good lateral and vertical flexation, and yeilds her for and hind. She would be ideal to advance in a performance sport as that is what she was bred for, or be your best trail horse ever. Here is her pedigree for those that admire sport Morgan lines, but you can't ride paper, and the more important thing to know is she has a solid mind and body and MY stamp of approval. Look her up on AllBreed as (mtntop magpie rose). The SRR is recognized for producing quality performance Morgans for distance sports or arena performance. We would be happy to help you find the quality well started Morgan you are looking for. Visit our website and give us a call to see if we have what you are looking for.
