Tucker was purchased as a lesson horse prospect because of his puppy dog, in your pocket personality, sensibility, athleticism and brain. Over the past 10 months, we have learned that he would much rather be one person's horse. He is more relaxed and happier with the consistency, support and love of one rider. Tucker raced once and had only one other owner. He has much more woah than go, which is surprising for a horse with such impressive bloodlines (descendant of Northern Dancer and Secretariat). Tucker shines when jumping and would make an eventer or hunter/jumper rider looking to go up in the levels very happy. He has consistently been jumping 2' - 2'6'' courses. He has scope, moves carefully (and often quite slowly!) and learns very quickly. Last fall he competed at Coursebrook Schooling HT at the elementary level where he was clear in both XC and SJ. Tucker loves groundwork and the round pen and catches on quickly as he's sharp and so eager to please. Tucker currently lives outside 24/7 with another gelding, and he gets along with everyone. He's been happily stalled in the past as well. He loves the trails and hacks alone or in a group. Despite being loved by everyone here, we know he's not meant to be in a lesson program, and we only want the very best for him. Due to his age, he is not suitable for beginners, and he would do best in a training program.
