Please read full ad - if you message me with questions that are answered in here, I will not be responding. :) I have somebody’s heart horse here, just waiting to find her perfect person! Don’t let her flashy color fool you - this horse is much than a pretty barbie horse. Meet “Ferrari,” a 2021 half-arabian mare, currently standing 14.2 and growing. Both parents are 15h+ and solidly built. I expect her to make that height when mature. Rider in pictures and video is 5’7 for reference. Ferrari is sired by FV Salute from the famous Fairview Arabian Stud, out of an exceptional paint mare Miss Skippa Cita who was a great little eventer and all-around horse. She is registrable as a half-arabian and I have been told her papers are in progress, but she is currently grade. Despite her name, this sweet little mare doesn’t ride like a race-car. Ferrari is more of a laid-back type, and will happily stand at the rail all day to be loved on and fussed over. Seriously this horse LOVES attention. Ferrari was lightly started under saddle this summer with what I think of as age-appropriate training. She has not been pushed or ridden hard/long, but can go w/t/c on a loose rein in a bosal, gets her leads almost every time, has whoa and go buttons (although the go button sometimes takes encouragement!), and has been exposed to some obstacles and spooky objects. She has been ridden out in big pastures by herself, but she can sometimes be sticky when leaving the group or if her rider isn’t confident when asking for more speed. Although generally a quiet girl, she is young and might still have an occasional spook. With time this mare is going to be unflappable. Ferrari doesn’t seem to care much for arena-type flat work, so if you want to bore this horse to death and just lope circles all day long, look elsewhere please. Don’t get me wrong, a confident rider with soft hands will have no issues getting Ferrari to go nicely in the arena, but I want this special horse to have a life she enjoys. I can see her being an awesome little mountain horse, and I have a feeling she would love pushing cattle. If you are the type of person who wants a people-oriented horse that will happily spend hours hanging out with you, this is the one. She has excellent manners and she needs someone who will maintain that. She IS the type who might take advantage of someone that isn’t clear about their aids, and as such she will only be placed in an experienced home who can further her progress in the right direction Ferrari is good for the farrier, easy to catch, loads in a trailer, ties, stands to be saddled and mounted… all the good stuff. She has no bad habits to speak of. However, she does not understand how to back off a trailer. Her new owner will want to set up some ramps, etc, and help her gain confidence with this as I simply am not set up to do so. She is currently kept on pasture in a herd setting and does very well - she is not a bu
