He is just big enough for the smallest kids to be able to handle and grow with him. They can learn their confidence leading him around, climbing onto his back with just a halter and lead rope, they can harness and hitch him to the wagon or cart to drive, and never have to fear that he will take advantage of them at all. He walks and jogs off with ease and will lope off if asked. If he feels his rider loosing their balance he stay calm. He rides with both a saddle or bareback the same way. Ranger is safe to drive on state routes, he is used to traffic and will trot down the road with no issues, absolutely nothing bothers this guy! He has been ridden thru all types of terrain, up hills with no issues and does not mind any wildlife that comes around.
