Offering up an exceptional solid bay gypsy colt by hall of fame stud Dakota Spirit Ori. Spirit of the west, Sam, was born May 2nd 2024. He is registered and negative on a genetic panel. Given his development and current size I’m guessing he’ll be bigger than his mom who is 14. His dad is 14.3.
Sam has had all of the age appropriate handling and is up to date on vaccines. Halter broke, stands tied like a gentleman, picks his feet up, clips, bathes, quiet when hauled, sends in to be loaded and backs out better than a lot of adult horses I know. He follows you anywhere like a dog and approaches you to be caught. He’s been frequently hauled to events and ranch’s and ponies off any horse anywhere. I’ve been working with this colt since day one on good ground manners. He’s never learned bad habits and is completely respectful and safe around anyone and other animals.

This sweet boy will be an excellent example of the breed both in looks and disposition. His mom is one of my all time favorite horses. Shes been ridden extensively in the California foothills, shown in ranch versatility events, gymkhanas, used to gather and do ranch work and gives a five year old riding lessons. She is the most gentle easy going horse I’ve ever started and loves people unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a horse. We were hoping to keep a filly, and this is the only reason Sam is available to an exceptional home.
