Watch video to see why the kids have enjoyed riding this horse all summer! Shadow sits like a dog, acts like a dog and is just as loyal and honest as man’s best friend. He’s been trail ridden back through the woods, down the road, and in the arena for a versatile handle. He has been ridden both English and Western. Shadow has been on just about every adventure a kid can take him on, including swimming belly deep in the creek. Your kids won’t have a problem getting him from a walk/trot to a lope. He has been exposed to all farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. He has also been ridden on the ranch in Texas, back through the deep brush, and has truly gone through anything we’ve asked him to go through without a fuss! He does all of the obstacles- Teeter Totter bridge, cowboy curtain, whips, tarps, gunfire and flags are old news to the Shadow. He has the brain of a horse twice his age, and is very receptive to what is asked of him. He is responsive to your leg and seat cues, with a fun turn around and deep stop off of your seat. Shadow is a gentleman in the barn. He has been in both a stall environment, and turned out on pasture with no bad habits. He would be a great step up pony, as he does have some buttons like a quarter horse, but still a small enough size to help a youngster gain their confidence. He would also work well for a smaller adult. Pictures don’t do this cute gelding justice! Sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. Shadow has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
