✨Black Friday Special ✨ 2013 15.1h big bodied IALHA Lusitano mare. Luana was originally for sale as a dressage horse last year, but she would prefer a life of more varied adventure. The good: ✨Super sweet and in your pocket. Loves attention. Would love to be someone’s #1. ✨Beautiful movement and conformation. Barefoot, sound, no maintenance, and very nice bloodlines. ✨FANTASTIC on the trail. This is her happiest place. She’s forward without being hot, not spooky at all, and rides out alone or in company. I’ve spent many hours bareback with dropped reins. You can load her up after sitting for months and hop on bareback on a loose rein and she’s golden. Loves the beach! She would be perfectly happy doing nothing but trails for the rest of her life, and has the stamina, heart, and drive to go all day. She could absolutely be competitive in endurance as well. ✨ Loves to jump. I started her over fences last year and we haven’t done a ton, but she’s a natural. Great on the cross country course and has gone over everything I’ve pointed her at. Super willing and cute jumper. I took her to the EI adult camp this past April and we had a blast doing all the things. ✨ Has done several WE clinics and is bold and brave with all of the obstacles. ✨Loads, hauls, clips, bathes, stands for the farrier, etc. Easy keeper and UTD on everything. The challenges: - She tends to be tense and reactive in an empty arena. She does much better if she’s jumping, navigating WE obstacles, or cavaletti. I think if someone took their time to reframe her experience and make arena work fun and engaging, she would improve drastically. I think she’d love liberty and trick training. - While she was bred for dressage, I’m not selling her as a dressage horse. She could absolutely do dressage with the right person who would help her get through her arena anxiety, but I don’t want that to be the focus. - You have to love mares with big personalities. She has a flair for the dramatic, and needs a confident person with a sense of humor. Not dangerous, just…dramatic. She happily lives out in a mixed herd, but is bossy. I had her for sale last year, then took her off the market. However, I’ve realized I still don’t have the time to give her what she needs and now need the space. Priced very reasonably at 7,5xx for a quick sale. Open to offers for the right fit. Serious inquiries only. Located in Coupeville, WA. I will be driving down to N. California sometime this month and would happily deliver her along the I-5 corridor. https://youtu.be/kjuf_Pims8I?si=bz9-ROfcsS_gBdjf
