Up for consideration. McCurdy’s Lightning Gold is a soon to be 6 year old sorrel registered TWH mare with a flaxen mane and tail. She stands at just under 16 hands. She gleams like a copper penny in the sunshine. She has had several months of professional training, most recently 4 months with Cliff Lawrence in Kentucky this past winter. She does all the expected stuff. Free lunges in a round pen, stands to be mounted, loads easily, she has good ground manners. The only reason I am putting her up for consideration is that she is simply too tall for me, and I have other shorter horses that are coming along. She has the quiet, calm temperament and wonderful saddle rack that McCurdy horses are known for. She is eligible for McCurdy registration with a video. Goldie had a beautiful sorrel filly in 2023 with a heritage registered stallion and was a wonderful mother. Her daughter looks to be as tall and pretty as she is. I’m looking for her forever home where she will be a wonderful trail companion. She also could be bred but I am not selling her as a brood mare. She does have an excellent pedigree with Mcurdy’s Roan Lightening on top and bottom. Her sire is Little John Lester who stands at Through the Pines Walking Horses in Georgia and is a sought after sire of horses for the local hunting plantations and of field trail horses. See Through the Pines Walking Horses on facebook for pictures of her relatives and sire https://mccurdyhorses.com/ for more info on Mccurdy Plantation Horses Videos available on request. Goldie is located in Western Pennsylvania 1 hour North of Pittsburgh
