Freya is my 8 year old bay mare. She is athletic and has an amazing build. I have done a few jackpots on her and some omoksees. She is definitely more of an arena horse than a trail horse but she can go either way. She has a decent start on barrels but as you can see in the video, she needs finishing. She has been around cows, tractors, other horses, dogs, goats, kids, etc. Freya will not spook from anything. She has been hauled a ton with the owner before me and I have brought her to quite a few places too. She has only had one other owner besides myself. Freya is amazing with kids around her, petting, brushing and feeding treats. I bought her thinking she would be farther along with barrels but she isn’t where I thought she would be and I have another horse that I have decided to make my main barrel horse so I don’t want to leave her sitting. She doesn’t get cold backed and doesn’t need lunged. I would say she’s for an intermediate to experienced rider or could even make a good cow/ranch horse. The only reason I say experienced is because she has a lot of power and will try testing you. I wouldn’t recommend her to a younger kid starting barrels or any arena event. I really am sad to sell her and I wish I could keep her but I don’t have the financial stability for more than one horse or the time to work with her on barrels. With the right person she will absolutely go anywhere in any event or out and about.
