I’m looking to rehome my Red Dun Quarter Horse yearling gelding Oscar. He was born April 2023 as an unexpected surprise of my Dunskin mare. I have no idea who his sire is. He’s a beautiful big boy - Red Dun with nice primitive markings. He could potentially have some draft in him as he’s a big, thick boy with nice thick legs and hooves. His farrier says he’s got some of best looking hooves she’s seen. He’s had basic handling and groundwork done, but has been sitting and out to pasture since April.. Halter broke, leads, loads (not the easiest), ties. UTD on vaccines, deworming, farrier (barefoot), and had her teeth checked in July. He’s 100% sound, no issues. Very sweet and well mannered boy for his age — he is a baby and still needs work on his manners at times. I adore this guy and am dreading doing this, but feel it’s best for him to have someone with enough time to work with him regularly. I have his mom (a QH Dunskin) and am also looking to rehome her.
