Stella (reg. Lonestar Lazy) is a 6yr old Appendix QH. She is registered with AQHA, NSBA, and PtHA solid registry. She would be best suited for an intermediate or experienced rider as she can sometimes be energetic (less so the more she is regularly worked). Stella is schooled in basic dressage and was 2022 champion for intro level with an Ohio club we showed with. She recently placed first at an intro combined test. She rounds onto the bit very easily in a snaffle, and has easy leg yields. She is trained to pick you up at the mounting block/fence/trailer fender and rides (& lunges) off verbal cues. She is not a push ride, she’s happy to work, but can sometimes be “looky” and benefits from a soft rider who can talk her through. She is a “stop and stare” kind of spooker and has never offered to bolt, rear, etc. She shows aptitude over small jumps - with her movement, she may do well in hunters. She does also ride western; she can neck rein, has carried flags, can toss a rope off of her, and she has been started on trail patterns. She has been trail ridden about a half dozen times and seemed to enjoy it - she would benefit from having a buddy horse who can take the lead at times if she is unsure. She has been to the county fair several years, and is not bothered at all by the fireworks (she actually watches them with me). She is an absolute love and always wants to be involved in what you’re doing. She stands patiently for the farrier, can ground tie to be clipped or bathed, and trailer loads nicely.
