Bonnie, located in Blanchard, Idaho, will warm her heart, give big hugs and even rides for the grandkids.
People inexperienced with the sweet but stubborn nature of donkeys need not look farther. But anyone good at patient guidance would love our superstar Bonnie.
She does great at leadline and can be ridden or driven. Probably 150 lb max rider (or two) is best, but she sometimes has her own ideas like when she decided to lay down for a quick nap in the arena during a photoshoot, sending everyone into fits of giggles.
She has been a fan favorite in our petting zoo, she let's the kids climb all over her, especially if there's treats or grass to bribe her.
Respectful of electric fence, can live in a large pen with other animals and will come to greet you, or she's fine in a stall but should have a regulated diet so as not to get overweight. She is an easy keeper but does enjoy a little equine senior in winter if she can talk you into it.
She loads, bathes, trims but will lean on the farrier however bribes always welcome!
She just had a trim, and was dewormed, teeth floated in early 2024 & she comes with a halter, some of her own hay and can be delivered Christmas Day within 30 mi of Blanchard Idaho.
