Midnight is a 10 year old, dark bay, percheron quarter horse cross gelding, standing roughly 15.1hh. Not only is this gentle tank flashy, but he has a personality you can only dream of. Midnight has a quiet and willing attitude no matter where he is, along with a wonderful disposition, and excellent ground manners. Midnight has tons of experience working on the ranch, moving cattle and helping start colts. He is responsive and reliable, with all the buttons. He has a phenomenal stop and will pivot around despite his stockiness. He has been hauled on many occasions, and has been ridden through rugged terrains all throughout the mountains. He is very surefooted and has no issues with various types of wildlife including birds, wild turkeys, deer, coyotes, etc. Midnight remains steadfast and isn’t phased when unexpected things happen on the trail, such as unleashed dogs running up barking, or chaotic traffic. He has been exposed to semi trucks, trailers and tractors and has not exhibited any issues. You can ride him out by himself, or in a group. He will go down steep slopes, cross water shallow or deep, cross bridges, and step over logs and collapsed trees. He has also done many other obstacles such as walking over tarps, dragging tires, walking over covered pallets, carrying flags, opening and closing gates, and so much more. He loads, ties, bathes, clips, is easy to catch, and stands while being tacked/mounted. My teenage girls have done everything with this guy, they’ve ridden him to convenience stores in the middle of the night multiple times with their friends, he goes willingly and doesn’t have a care in the world about the things most horses would be intimidated by. This gelding will do it all. He’s suitable for an any level rider, and will help grow the confidence every rider needs. He does well in a pasture setting with other horses, or in a covered enclosed pen. He is completely sound with no health issues or extra maintenance, and is UTD on everything (dewormed, feet trimmed, teeth floated, etc). Located in Aurora, Colorado, feel free to call or text with any questions!
