My beginner daughter rode her sorting and penning. Violet took great care of her. Even won her first sorting buckle on her.
I have won a few buckles and some money on her sorting and penning. She's done great penning but we just don't have enough of those local to showcase her ability.
Butt in the ground stop
She is a power house in the sorting gate.
She will move any cow you put her on. If you lose a cow it won't be her fault.
She has never had an issue going to new places
She hauls perfect and stalls great at shows
CON-
She might sit back if you hard cinch her while tied. It has gotten better while I've owned her but isn't fixed.
She can be left up for a bit and come out with minimal freshness (she feels like a bundle of energy under you but will lope out of it). My daughter rides her through it. If she has a consistent job, rode a couple times a week, then you'll never feel that.
She's a great mare and I wouldn't be letting her go but she wants a more consistent job. Her talents are being wasted sitting around waiting on shows.
