Everyone we'd love for you to meet Socks! He is a the prime age of 5yrs old with alot of miles under his belt, quiet and safe is his middle name. He's a unique draft and pony cross standing at 13.1H. and weighs 950lbs.
Socks has alot of trail experience and does well with crossing creeks, logs, ditches, and is super sure footed, he doesn't mind if he goes out alone or with others. He also walks through all our obstacles with confidence!
Socks has been road by all levels of riders in the arena and on trails and he's the kind of pony that is willing and forgiving and will help a beginner gain confidence, but he is also handy enough to go play around on. He has been ridden English & Western and doesn't really prefer one over the other. Socks has been started over jumps and is really good at finding his own distance and jumps very confidently, we believe he would thrive as a cute lil hunter pony or be great out on the trails during fox hunt season, Socks would also do great as a western pony out in the mountains or doing some ranch work, he really is an all around kinda guy and will do it all! Have we mentioned he also drives great!
The thing we love about Socks is he does it all cute as a cucumber as well as safe and confident! He picks up both leads side passes and moves off of leg cues. Socks has a soft easy going disposition and is easy to catch,bath,clip,load, and loves to be loved on by little kids. We asked Grace what her favorite thing about him is and she said she loves how safe he is.
We have truly enjoyed having him in our program and a part of the Triple R crew the past 6 month and we are excited to see what the future has for him!
