“Sue” is a big and beautiful DHH cross mare microchipped and registered with ADHHA, USEF and USDF. Sired by imported KWPN stallion Wilfred (Nando). Dam was a big, athletic TB/Clyde cross. She is a gentle and sweet soul, never marish. Easily carries a larger rider (I am the 5’11” rider in the photos). With limited showing she was 2024 NM Dressage Association champion at Training level (average 70%+) and is currently schooling 1st level. She is a safe and steady ride for kids, older folks and horse husbands. She has been trail ridden over a variety of terrain in groups of 2 to 20+. Dogs and cars are no problem. Always barefoot and sound. Easy keeper who lives outdoors 24/7 with other horses eating free choice hay (and a handful of grain). I have never bred her, but I am certain she would make a terrific mom. Why am I selling my heart horse/unicorn? She has intermittent issues with heaves in our harsh NM environment which makes regular dressage training a challenge. She lives in dusty dry lot 365 days a year; we have frequent dust storms, our home arena is dusty dirt, and there is often smoke from prescribed burns and forest fires. I am not able to move because of my job, and there is no such thing as pasture in our desert landscape. I bought her from a breeder in Vermont, she was fine there. Her price is negotiable to a 5 star home that can provide a healthier environment for her which should include some pasture access (at least part of the year) a variety of riding opportunities (she loves getting out on the trail) and possible future breeding.
