4 yr old grade Rocky Mountain. Bought as a project at auction this past summer. He was broke out before I bought him but they never had him out on trail or trained in a bit.
I had his teeth done , vet checked and coggins done. . Put a bunch of weight on him and he is now doing great in a bit. He has been ridden at Russ Forest 20 times, rode in an indoor area about 6 times. He can be a bit spooky but nothing dangerous just likes to look at stuff. He will ride alone or in a group. He has been out on a trail in Hartford several times and did really well with traffic and factory. He is very soft in the mouth and is starting to neck rein. He does have an excellent whoe and backs great. I do have video of him going over bridge, log and riding through brush. I would not call him a forward horse as he is very laid back on trail. He will go over bridge, puddles, mud, trees, bathes, long lines, free lounges with cues, friendly in the pasture, great with his hooves. He loads and ties. Nice horse just needs some more time in the saddle.
