Meet Rain! 4year old, 13.3h and stocky, grade mare Rain is an approximately 4 year old according to the vets. She is a Bay Pinto. She is a project pony with a great start. Rain has lovely gaits. Rain has lovely thick built bones. She is still trying to figure out life, she will mess around a bit. She needs someone who can be a bit more stern with her than I can. She has a lovely personality though. She loves hay and treats! That’s the quick way to her heart! Shes gotten the all clear from the vets. Rain is an easy keeper, she is barefoot with regular trims. Trailers nicely. She doesn’t have any stall vices like biting wood. She really is going to make someone a very nice pony. She should be an easy lovely horse to train for someone with a little bit of patience. Questions are more than welcome! My goal is to be 100% transparent on her pros and cons. In her last home she was ridden English, western and bareback. Though I’d still consider her green broke. She’s been doing well with ground work, I’ve been working on forehands, hindquarters, sidepasses, backs, halts and circles. Rain and I did the extreme trail show in Eugene OR this year. She did really well and I have some photos and videos for those who’d like to see that. Even came home with a few ribbons! Pros: Easy keeper, no maintenance or shoes. Stands well for farriers Easy to trailer Super intelligent Small but sturdy Does really well in new environments She hardly ever spooks (when she does it’s a little scoot or freeze) Never had colic or been lame Not much phases her (when anything does she’s back to you in a instant) Cons: She will test you she’s still learning She mostly has energy lunging, she will buck, and rear while lunging from time to time. (Almost exclusively in the round pen) Rain is going to make someone very happy. She will follow you for attention, she loves people. UTD on farrier, vaccines and deworming! Located in Redmond, WA.
