Bjorn is now available. He is roughly 20 years old (vet estimate but I believe him to be younger, possibly 16 or 17 due to no health concerns whatsoever, estimate is based off teeth) 15 hand gelding FS. Grade horse i have very minimal information on his history as to where he came from originally. I have had him for 3 years. Before I bought him he had 5 years off and rode like he never had time off. Prior owner used him for hunting and packing and prior owner before that he was a roping horse. He has been great for my young kids and non experienced horse husband to learn on but he does not enjoy being a lesson or arena horse as he has way more whoa than go. Arena is just not his thing, he doesnt care to trot or lope circles. He thrives on trails. That is his happy place. He crosses bridges, water, tight trails, he will ride all day long. He will move cows, anything that gives him a job and mental stimulation. This horse is incredibly smart and gets bored with mundane tasks. He will ride out alone or in a group just fine. He doesn't need any sort of lunging before he rides, just get on and go. He can even sit for a couple months and still be the same horse when you get back on. He is dominant in a herd. Top of the totem pole but does great with people. He has great ground manners. He will stand to be brushed and scratched all day. He does great with a submissive mare for a companion. Hes the horse i put all my friends and family on, I've loaned him out for countless play dates and always done great. He simply isn't a good fit for a home that does mostly 4H, arena riding, gaming, more refined horsemanship and advanced maneuvers. Etc. As much as he loves trails, I only rode him once on trails last year. I had other ride him on trails last year more than myself. He's been to the beach, camping, moved cows, he's done it all. I am asking 3500. He will not hurt your kids or husband and these are hard to come by these days. He will pass a PPE aside from a cyst in his left eye which the vet said does not affect his vision. He has been barefoot the entirety that I've owned him doing exceedingly well on trails with just front boots or shoes as needed for more rocky trails. He ties. He saddles, he does all the things expected, he trailers well and more.. He needs his very own person to love on him. No major vices. For how nice of a horse he is, he needs to go to someone that is willing to ride multiple times a week in an environment he enjoys, he'd be perfect for the year round trail rider, or even someone who needs a ranch horse. My husband and kids don't ride him enough to justify the expenses of a horse that just sits and my focus has been training my young horse. I have invested a ton of time into him recently fine tuning him, seeing what he remembers, and he's been great. Mes
