Stocky 14h, 7 year old green broke Mustang gelding. Purchased with the intention of finishing him out but life got in the way. Has not been in consistent work since this summer. He is easy to catch in the pasture and comes when called. Has had time off but previously was walk/trot under saddle in the round pen, halts and was working on turn on the forehand and turn on the haunches. He has been ridden out on the trails a handful of times with more experienced horses leading. No buck, bite or funny business that I have seen under saddle. Original training done using liberty techniques and positive reinforcement theories. He is GREAT for the vet and easy for the farrier. I have videos and pictures if you are interested. Gentled as a yearling and respectful of fencing. Does not enjoy being stalled or confined in small spaces. Has developed a bad habit of dragging when being led. He will rip the lead rope out of an inexperienced handler. It’s not aggressive, just got away with it and developed a bad habit quickly. He comes back when called, but needs a strong, experienced handler on the ground. He is a sweet, curious and friendly boy, but he needs more consistent work than we are able to give him. UTD on vaccines and farrier, current coggins in hand. NOT a finished horse. He needs EXPERIENCE and CONSISTENCY. Inexpensive project to finish out your way. Price negotiable. Need him moved as he has started to pick on our 24 y/o gelding and not let him eat hay. With the temperatures dropping, we need them separated.
