Kool Aid is a 15 year old grade pony type mare standing at 14.2hh and 900lbs located in Amity, Oregon.
This little mare is so dang cool and just a blast to ride! Kool Aid is solid walk, trot and lope and enjoys solo trail rides as well. She neck reins fairly well and has a nice stop and back. Kool Aid has more go than whoa and for that reason I believe she would be a wonderful gaming horse, youth rodeo, OHSET partner or step up for a younger kiddo who can handle some horse. She has been ridden both western and English. Kool Aid is not dangerous but she does have a motor on her and for that she does need a confident rider. My 10 year old lesson kiddo who is pretty reserved has been riding her under my supervision and they have been getting along well.
The ideal home for this mare would be a young kid (or adult!) who just wants to ride all the time. I would’ve loved to had a mare like her growing up. Kool Aid has the motor and needs a job. Her only down fall is she can be a bit impatient when tying at times and has small spooks. Nothing violent or dangerous by any means just the little spook in place and move on.
She is up to date on dental, vaccines, deworming, farrier care and has a clean bill of health from the vet. Kool Aid is a harder keeper and does best with free choice hay along with a mix of senior grain and alfalfa pellets to help keep her weight up. I am more than happy to chat about this with interested parties. She trailers, bathes, stands for the farrier and ties.
Kool Aid is a very sweet and personable mare with a huge personality and we’re hoping to find her next partner. She is currently finishing up a tune up and is ready for her new home.
