For your consideration, Rio’s Diamond Jewel or “Rio”. Rio is a 4-year-old registered solid black paint. Jackie Hall owned her dam and foaled her. She has been completely desensitized to anything, and she is not afraid. Tarps over her head, balls thrown at her, roping, flags, kids, fireworks, and she has been at the fair. She stands to get her feet trimmed and for the vet. I started her as a 2-year-old on her back, with no issues, never a buck or bolt. She has also had 30 days of professional training done by Stacey Buzzwitz. She was taken to her first show this spring at Cannon Falls, MN. She didn’t even bat an eye. She has also been taken to a SCSCA horse show and sat all day, by herself, in the rain with no issues. She can walk, trot, and lope any way you point her. She is a natural slow mover and holds her head lower. She also has a very smooth gait. She can move off of leg pressure and works best with spurs. She also has a very good pivot. She is currently learning how to side pass. She can be lazy at times but will still do what is asked. She is also learning showmanship and is picking it up very well. In the future, with some more training, she will be a great all-around pleasure horse. Western or English. She could also be a great trail horse or even a kids’ horse. With every new experience she has had, she has done very well. All she needs is for her rider to be confident. She is always willing to please her rider. Her only vice is that she gets little bumps from bug bites. I have loved every minute I have spent with her. The only reason she is for sale is because I am not able to ride at the time due to some health issues, and I am headed off to college. She is very smart and could sit if need be.
