Malibu is one of the sweetest horses you will ever be around. He loves people and other horses. I bought him from his breeder. So, I am his first owner. He has amazing lines to be a Reiner or Cow Horse. His siblings have done great things. He is extremely sensitive in the body and face. You dont need to do much to get him to go forward, turn, etc. I ride him in a snaffle without spurs. He has a lot of ‘GO’. He has a great stop. He has gone on trails in the rocky hills of Colorado and the woods of Aiken. He has gone through water, over logs, across bridges, etc. He has a great mind. I have ridden him bareback with just a halter. His feet are wonderful and I keep him barefoot. He has no vices. Loads and travels well. Great for vet and farrier. Great for clipper, even in ears. He will stand cross tied or tied to a trailer without pawing or moving around. Everybody comments on how gorgeous he is! He really is a stand out!! Everyone in the barn just loves him. Long, luxurious mane and tail. Dark Palomino coloring. He can go days between rides and still be the same horse. I am considering selling him, to the right home only, because he does not like ring work. He is happiest when he is galloping after something or towards something. After all, that is what he was bred to do. He also seems to really enjoy trails. He goes out alone and with others. I am not a fan of trail riding myself. He gets bored in the arena. I dont believe in making a horse do a job they are not happy doing. I would rather he do something he enjoys. If I can find the perfect home for him where he will be loved, treated right and have a job he enjoys, I will sell him. If those parameters dont present themselves, then I wont sell him. He would excel at being a gaming horse, working cows, reining, and being a trail horse. I am sure there are other disciplines for him, but, I dont know what they are. Since he is just turning 5, I do not recommend him for a beginner rider.
