If a chestnut colt wasn't under your tree this year, take a look at BAMF Agni Kai.
"Kai" is purebred Morgan colt, linebred to Fleetwing. He was born 4/27/24. He's PSSM1 negative via parentage with an expected mature height of 15.1hh. He is by world champion producer, Play The Odds and out of our sport bred mare, AEs Black River Dun Rush.
Kai has a very high octane personality. There isn't any nonsense there but he will grow to be a very forward ride. He has wonderful extensions, a beautiful canter and an active hind leg. I see him excelling through Western or Classical Dressage. He won't be a huge mover like your modern warmblood, but still enough talent to go above the lower levels.
Kai is also half sibling to one of the most decorated Western Pleasure horses in Morgans, MLB Power Play GCH. He does have a cute jog that could be polished to bring him into the main Morgan breed ring at a steal of a price for a colt of his quality.
He has an honest heart that is looking for a single person to bond with. He isn't really a horse that seeks out everyone, so he'd likely do best with a rider looking for a first or second mount. Regardless, Kai is still easy to work with. He picks up all four feet, loads well in the trailer and is learning to tie.
