Meet SWM Oleo, a 4 year old, 15.2 hand titled Stinkingwater BLM mustang looking for a new situation! Oleo was part of the 2022 Teens and Oregon Mustangs challenge and came in 5th in the teen and adult in-hand division. Oleo has an extensive foundation with groundwork and is safe to handle and spend time with. He ties well, enjoys grooming and clipping and stands quietly while being tacked up. He also enjoys baths and getting to play with the hose. When it’s time to travel, Oleo easily loads into his slant load trailer, hauls without any fuss and eats and drinks well at his destination.

His docile demeanor and in your pocket personality makes him a very people-oriented horse who will bring you endless love and laughs. He is thoughtful about everything he does and is eager and willing to learn. If his 5-star personality isn’t enough, he has great looks to top it all off! Oleo has well proportioned and strong conformation and turns into a beautiful palomino roan in the summer! He has a sturdy build for his height, but still has a refined and sporty appearance.

Since the challenge, he has spent 50 days with a professional trainer to get him going under saddle, which included both trail riding and arena work. He has primarily been ridden english, but could also do well in western disciplines. He has been well started in W/T/C and generally has more whoa than go. What he is lacking is time and consistency to fine tune and finish what has been started.

This lack of time due to life changes is the reason for his availability, as Oleo has done a lot of sitting since his professional training. Oleo has a wonderful mind and enough athletic ability to do well in many directions. Like any young horse though, he will need an experienced rider or someone who is confident and working regularly with a trainer to help him reach his full potential.

I am very open to options for finding him a new situation: leasing, lease to own, sale, or bring me your ideas. Finding him a loving 5-star home is my top priority.
