Aurora is a 4 year old (5 this June) BLM mustang that was born on my property. Approximately 15.2. Her mom was gathered from Chalis Idaho. Aurora has a year and a half riding experience. She has done arena work, lots of trails and a couple clinics. I haven’t trailered her a ton, we have trails right off my property. She is an in your pocket mare but has good ground manners. She is always the first to greet me. She is the low man in the corral with 2 other mares. Easy to catch, bridle and saddle. She does have a spicy personality she lets you know how she feels. She hasn’t bucked or reared. She is sensitive to pressure and with a rider that is not sensitive to that she could act out. She typically likes to walk out on trails at a good pace. She is a sensitive horse so she doesn’t need a lot of pressure. She lunges and round pens. In the arena she has WTC down. I am working on collection and sensitivity to the bit. She Sidepasses, haunch turns, forehand turns and also has a good stop. She is very smooth. She knows her leads and she does have some speed in her, I personally have not trained any of that it’s natural for her, but I didn’t want to encourage it because she already has more go than whoa and I don’t like hot horses. Her worst trait is she can be jumpy on the trail. If not ridden consistently she could be likely to spook at things and move her feet. But with regular riding she will be more likely to jump in place. She’s not a confident leader, but she has gotten better over time. She is registered with NAMAR,AMBA and AERC. Available to the right home only. I want to find a good match for her. I want her to find her person. I believe she has good potential to be an endurance horse. I put lots of miles on her last spring doing the Virtual Tevis. I also see her having potential in dressage. Message me for more details.
