Meet Ozzie! This gentle 12-year-old gelding is the kind of horse that just keeps on giving. Ozzie stands at 16.2 hands. he’s a smooth coat Bashkir Curly, so his coat is super smooth. According to his previous owners he has some draft in him.
No health conditions – fit and healthy.
Good, solid feet easy to care for.
Easy keeper – doesn’t require much, just good food and a little attention.
More of a “woah” than a “go” he’s laid-back and relaxed, perfect for someone who likes a calm ride. But once you give him the cue, he’ll get right to work and move out when asked. So, I’d say he’d be best for an intermediate rider who knows how to nudge him along when needed.
Great with goats, horses, and all livestock – gets along with everyone in the pasture.
Super willing to learn – always eager to please.
Great with kids – patient, safe, and gentle.
Picks up his feet easily – no hassle with hoof care.
Stands tied – respectful and easy to handle.
Comes to you in the pasture – easy to catch, he’ll come right up.
Food is his best friend – loves his meals and treats!
Rides just as good after months in the pasture you can leave him for a while, then hop on and he’s still got perfect riding manners. He’ll pick up right where you left off.
Important: I’m gonna be picky about where Ozzie goes, so he’s gotta go to the right home. I’d prefer he have at least one other horse to keep him company, since he’s used to being around others.
