Very fun to ride dressage gelding. Armani is always ready to go. He is a fun ride for an experienced dressage rider because he always is ready to try his hardest, yet sensitive enough for the advanced rider to also work on fine tuning her aids in order to feel the horses sensitive back and dance right along with her horse partner. I have taught both intermediate riders and beginners (on the longe line) on Armani and he focuses just as hard with the less experienced rider also. This winter we have focused on developing collection in trot by improving on his lateral work and half passes. He is also working on developing his collected canter before starting his training with flying changes. I expect that he will be able to start working on the flying changes within the next few months. He is going very well in a double bridle and also works nicely in a snaffle. No vices. No mouth issues. Loves people. Comes galloping when called. Easy to trim, great with all shots, etc...Loads great. Good with baths in warm water. Good for trimming. He can be nervous in new and excitable conditions but he is very sensible. This is a horse that needs to be handled with love. Harsh methods would backfire with him, although if you give a strong verbal "whoa", he will stand absolutely still and wait for your next direction. Loves kisses.
