Meet Duplicity, a 8 year old OTTB, standing at 16.2 hands. Been off the track since 2020. He’s had 90 days of restart training and is truly one of the best-mannered thoroughbreds I’ve met. He doesn’t buck, rear, or kick, and is wonderful with the farrier. He ties well, stands great at the trailer, will load in the trailer if walked in straight away on a ramp but just right in with no ramp, he’s a little wary of baths when tied but he’ll calmly stand for one with some patience. Responds to pressure well, moves off legs, backs up, figure 8, Rollbacks, circles, great in the round pen, lunges on lung Line, and turns into you in the round pen.
Duplicity is a fantastic trail horse and loves being out on the trails. I’ve taken him on local trails and even hauled him out to some new places. He enjoys the ride so much, and I can tell he’s happiest when he’s exploring. He’s comfortable both alone and in a group, and he could go all day if you let him.
While I originally started him on barrels, it's just not working out, so I’m looking to rehome him as a trail horse only. He has so much potential and is eager to learn.
He’s an easy keeper and a pleasure to handle. He rides in a hackamore and is overall a very well-mannered horse. I have his papers in hand and will provide a bill of sale.
