Zeus is the real deal, a gentle giant! He's a solid 16.3 hands, and will happily take any size rider down the trail in any terrain, whether alone or in a group. He is our "go to" horse for any guest that wants to trail ride and not worry about anything. You point him and he will go. Rivers, lakes, roads, bridges, traffic, wildlife.... he is game for anything. He's been extensively ridden all over Texas, New Mexico and Idaho. He camps overnight in a portable corral or tied to a tether high-line. Jumps right into the trailer, eager for the next fun adventure. His feet are incredibly hard, with perfect angles. He has never needed shoes, no matter how rocky or steep the trail is. He has been in parades in TX and NM, and is rock solid!! Did I mention gorgeous to boot?! He teaches gaited lessons in the arena, and out on the trail. He's also participated in many youth camps, as well as adult clinics. He handles just as well whether he is in a snaffle, a curb, or a halter. Such a good boy! He neck reins and direct reins, and also moves off leg pressure, can sidepass, open gates, etc. He could make an incredible endurance prospect, as he can go all day long and never tire. He's also been very successful in competitive trail, not afraid of anything!! He has perfect ground manners also. Will stand quietly when both single or cross tied. Great for farrier. Zero bad habits or vices. Up to date on everything (teeth, Coggins, shots, etc) If you are looking for BIG BOLD and BEAUTIFUL, he is your man!! He rides out alone on the trail, or in a group. When in the group, he prefers to be in the front, as he's got long legs and a big stride. However we do put him in the middle and back of the line, as it's good for him, builds character! We have been asked many times if he is a Friesian, or a draft cross. The ONLY reason for selling this hunk is that we are sadly downsizing. He is my husband's personal horse and has been very well loved for many years.
