This little gal is “Ivy”. Ivy is a miniature Jenny born on our farm, where I raise a very small herd of miniature donkeys each year. Ivy is curious, independent, spicy and cute as a button. I can’t even explain the looks she gives, and she spends most of her awake time bucking and running. Her dam is a 34” deep brown/chocolate Jenny with light points and some rust colored points. Her sire was a 34” red Jack. Ivy will either be dark brown like mom, or a deep dark red, it’s hard to tell in certain lights. I plan to color test her. My foals are handled from birth through going to their new homes. We start them on halter training and leading, and they will usually have their first hoof trim and be familiar with someone lifting all four legs. I will cover the cost of a coggins test if traveling out of state. I can also arrange for first vaccines at the buyers expense. None of my donkey foals will leave the farm before 6 months old, she will be ready to go August 2025. A contract and a deposit is required to hold her. I only allow donkeys to go to homes that have other mini donkeys on site, or at the very least, miniature horses for company. They do not do well alone. Ivy is one I am considering keeping unless the right home comes along; she’s just that special.
