Any day you get to spend riding Cowboy is a great day! He’s a stunning 8 year old, 14.3H, buckskin gelding with mesmerizing blue eyes. A Paradise Ranch favorite, he is truly in a league of his own. Sired by NRHA stallion SMART SPOOK (LTE: $405k and offspring earnings of $7 million plus) and out of a Gunner mare, Cowboy is very well bred, loveable, gorgeous, talented and rated for every level of rider! All the woes and worries of the day will disappear instantly when riding him. He is finished in reining (LTE: $10,000 plus) and performs all maneuvers with ease. Cowboy has the smoothest rocking chair lope, phenomenal gait transitions, extended trot and a jog you could ride for days. He is a big stopper who goes to the ground easily, pluses his spins, and is an easy lead changer. If you’re looking for a Ranch rider partner, Cowboy’s the one. He is incredibly talented and graceful in everything he does. He’s a great show horse for any level of rider from beginner to experienced…and he’s Kid Approved. Cowboy is the best teacher because he is always forgiving and never takes advantage! He is a phenomenal guide outside the arena as well. From crossing suspended bridges, balancing and crossing the teeter-totter, walking an elevated tight rope obstacle, riding downtown with traffic flying by…there isn’t much he hasn’t seen or experienced. Four-wheelers, bikes, tractors, cattle, gunfire – none of them phase him. Cowboy will curbside mount anywhere and saddle up the same every day even with weeks off. He is one of the best trail horses we have ever ridden and trained. He is confident alone, leading a group, or just happy to trail behind. He’s been ridden in the Mountains and in the Florida Everglades and everything in between. Dense brush, raging water crossings, downed timber…no problem. Just point and go. We feel confident putting the most inexperienced rider on him to take on the trails. And he loves all aspects of ranch life. He gets along with other horses in the barn and turned-out. He’s the first one to greet you in the barn and loves your attention. Loves to be groomed, stands quietly for the farrier, and travels well.
